As a Petsmart  Volunteer, you will be socializing/grooming cats, and assist the public with adoptions

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome the public

• Assist the public with the adoption process, materials, and animals available for adoption

• Exercise and socialize cats through play, handling and cat enrichment

• Spot clean cat premises if needed

• Provide relief from emotional stress, through approved animal enrichment practices and activities.

• Record observed cat behaviours and reactions after each interaction

 

Qualifications/Interests:

• Eagerness to increase your understanding of cats and cat behaviours

• Comfortable handling cats and kittens

• Ability to work independently and be supportive of the Society’s policies and procedures

• Must be over the age of 18

• Must abide by rules and regulations of Petsmart

• Must contact the store before arrival as to not interfere with daily routines of the store
