PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Please understand that you completely give up the ownership and all rights to this feline when you surrender it to Renee’s Rescues. Before the Feline is surrendered, we will decide if we can bring the feline into rescue or place the feline up for adoption. Ideally, we would like to place all feline in new homes however we cannot guarantee that a new home will be found for this feline. Felines surrendered to Renee’s Rescues will be examined and temperament tested by our staff before they are received to determine if they are suitable for adoption. Felines might not be placed into rescue or up for adoption if:
-
They are under the age of 8 weeks or pregnant. Felines between the ages of 10-12 weeks will be considered it they are robust. At this critical stage of their development, young felines are highly susceptible to disease and stress. Felines born into the rescue environment are also highly susceptible to illnesses.
-
They are over the age of 8 yrs. Felines over the age of 8 yrs. often do not adjust well to kennel environment. They tend to experience separation anxiety from their owners, depression, and difficulties in adapting to a new home.
-
They are in poor health or physical condition. Many diseases are easily transferred to other felines. One sick feline may infect all the felines in our rescue. Other health conditions or illnesses may be too much for new adopters to take on that financial commitment or burden. The feline is suffering from stress due to being placed in a rescue environment. This can consist of not eating, drinking and not using the litter box.
-
A feline that is know to spray. This includes Females and Males
